Ta for this – I spend loads trying to find the perfect mascara – I have very long eyelashes and just want something with good pigment but not waterproof or ‘volumising’ (sic) i.e. with lots of irritating fibres. However, more to the point, when is the FACEGOOP SECRET SHENANNIGANS going to be revealed? I do read Belgian Waffle you know …

YES!! I have also had panda eyes of doom with this! (and I got a free shrunken pint size medieval mace with the foolish purchase of my full-sized one. So much of it left…) I am glad it’s not just me though. I was worried my eyes were unusually weepy. I shall be returning, tail btw legs, to Lancome whose lovely lovely mascara never runs (and yet comes off easily with normal cleanser in the shower). Poor show indeed Benetint.

YES. I remember recommending this to a lady with acne in the comment section last year, and it’s still my fall-back product. Coverage is just enough, finish is lovely, and the colour… M, I am much yellower than you. ‘Jaundice’ is my default setting. My yellowness stumps makeup artists. (“Wow. You actually have a lot of… green in your skin,” said the last one. FUCK YOU YOU’RE GREEN)

Yet this one still gives me a the kind of match I could previously only get with NARS. I stock up whenever Bourjois has one of their 2 for 1 sales.

It is pretty good for the price – it is actually no surprise, as Bourjois is owned by the same people, who own Chanel – once you know it, you spot all the similarities between the two. I really like their fairly new-ish Rouge Edition lipsticks, too: http://www.boots.com/en/Bourjois-Rouge-Edition-Lipstick_1290744/. The blogosphere is also in raptures about their new cream blush (it’s not available to mere mortals yet, but coming to Boots soon).
